Suitable for beginners and improvers
No experience is necessary to learn the modern art of glass bead making, simply lots of practice.
On this half-day course, you will be taught “flame working,” how to manipulate glass rods to create round, cylindrical and square shaped beads. You will decorate your beads, add inclusions and pull multi-coloured stringers. Once cooled, you will be shown how to mount your beads on key rings, chains and bracelets. We can also advise on what is needed to set up your own studio.
The course tutor is Robert Beaver, Stained Glass Manager at Pearsons Glass for the last 11 years. The course is held at our fully equipped studio at 32 Wellington Park, Dunes Way, Liverpool L5 9RJ.
You will only need to bring a sturdy pair of shoes, as all materials, glass, tools and safety equipment are provided. We also supply refreshments on site.
N.B. This course runs from 9.30am - 12.30pm
